rental lease

my mom rented a house for me with her credit check and information. The lessors broker filled out the lease and i told the broker i would bring it to my mom to sign it and the broker told me just to sign it. Can the lessor have me arrested for forgery because i lost my job and am behind on rent

That seems extremely unlikely. What you should do is inform the Lessor in writing that you'll be turning over the unit (but paying rent in the meantime) within, say, two months. Generally, the courts will give a landlord a couple of months to find a replacement tenant. You probably won't have to pay for the entire year term of the Lease.
