Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Request for Quitclaim Deed Information

I want to add my spouse to the deed on my condominium as a fifty/fifty ownership. I just refinanced it and was told to fill out a Quitclaim Deed. What verbage do I use to complete the legal description of property? Also, do I enter the entire amount of the refinanced loan under the sum of dollars section? Thank you...

Re: Request for Quitclaim Deed Information

It's obvious that you don't have the technical expertise to draft a simple Quit Claim Deed. Might I suggest that you spend $100 with a real estate lawyer to get it done right the first time, rather than taking the chance of screwing up the chain of title to a point where it will be ten times as expensive to fix later?
