Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Road Commissioners limits of power

Road commisioner wishes to move 8 foot diameter culvert used to cross stream from public road onto my 110 acre farm. This is being done to accomadate new construction on undeveloped property adjacent to me. This will make it impossible to get a combine(reaper) onto my farmland. When I told him he doesn't have the right to do this he said; ''I'm road commissioner I can do whatever I want''.

He may be a Road Commissioner, but he still has to pay $$ for the taking. You need to talk to an attorney "ASAP". Good Luck
