Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Scenario:

I had some things in a storage facility and was past due about 1100 on my rent. I had some couches in there that I was willing to sell to my mother if she paid my storage in order to get my other things out. Verbal agreement between the two of us. I never received any letters in the mail or anything saying they were ready to evict me. After the "verbal agreement" between my mother and I, we got into a verbal argument and I was told to leave her house (I was living there at the time). So while moving out it was brought to my attention that my mother had paid my storage and I no longer had access to my things. I have a contract with the storage company and there was not access given to anyone but myself. Yet now I am no longer allowed access and was told that my stuff is no longer mine and that my mother "owns" it now.

Please Help
