Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Selling property

Live in the state of IL , mother left property to her 7 adult childrens, the oldest one lives in the house, been living in the house 15 years before my mother passed away, which was in 2000. My mother wishes made clear to all the childrens her son would live in the home until he leaves, he is 67 years old . One of the children want to sell the house , others want my brother to have a home and this is my mother wishes. QUESTION: No one can give her part , because they don't have the money, and no one is going to put their self in a financial bind to aquire a loan. The other want my brother to have a home, and this is my mother wishes. Can the house be forced to be put on the market by one person .

Re: Selling property

In short, yes, probably. But there are a lot of depends on.....For example, I'm assuming she did not leave a will, whose name is on the title, did she creat a life estate in the brother, etc. etc.
