From the information provided, it would appear that a judgment has already been entered against you and this is a supplemental proceeding to discover assets to pay/satisfy the judgment. If this is not correct you need to restate the situation.

Assuming this is correct simply avoiding the proceeding could lead ultimately to what's called a "body attachment" (meaning hauling you in front of the judge like you're under arrest). Unless you want an attorney to help you because there may be assets that are not subject to forfeiture here, you run the risk of showing up in court alone without the information necessary to protect yourself.

Bankruptcy? That may be available to you but you need counseling on the downside -- like how it will affect your credit rating and ability among other things. This is not the forum to do so; it requires more contact/information that already fills books.

Otherwise, sorry to hear of your troubles. Hope you at least have your health, really.
