Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I was served a summons to appear and answer the complaint of my mortgage company who is attempting to foreclose on my home. Is it in my best interest to file an answer? In doing so, am I forfeiting my home?

There are MANY defenses to a law suit like this. I would urge you to contact and retain a lawyer in your county to assist you. Good Luck! If you don't do anything, you lose.
