After a Sheriff's sale, how long will I need before I have to move?

After the Sheriff's Sale, there is a court date to confirm the sale. Check the court records (most counties have information online). You should also have a notice in the mail. At that date, you should be given the deadline to move, which is likely to be thirty days.

I agree w Mr. Repay. It may have to do also with whether the buyer wants to move in, or may be interested in keeping you on as a tenant for a short while. Once you get a notice, however, it may be too late to negotiate if staying on is something you are thinking about and if it might be available.
