I would like to sign a warranty deed joint tenancy on behalf of another person as their agent. My question is do I have to file the power of attorney forms along with the deed itself?

What you want to do is irrelevant - does the other person want you to do this? If so you need to get a statutory power of attorney from that person and yes it should be recorded along with the deed. And there are restrictions on whom you can sign on behalf of. Have an attorney help.
