signed agreement to sell home. agent refused to add clause that we needed to find another home prior to closing. we could not find a home and cancelled sale of our home 48 Will the buyers force us to sell the home and make us homeless?

You should be discussing this with your real estate closing attorney, who should have been the one to cover this at the front end of the transaction. Real estate is a rare area in the law in which specific performance is a remedy that is available, meaning the buyers can force you to go forward. Whether they choose to is another question. Perhaps some negotiation will be needed to buy your way out of the contract.
