Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
I sold my mobile home to a family member. I didn't owe anything on the mobile. A agreement contract was done up so they could rent from us until it was paid off. I asked for $3,000 with a monthly payment of what they could give (verbally). Since they moved in October of 2010 they have only paid me $800.I want my money due to the fact that they have no made any effort to pay me anything. How would I go about handling this situation?

Depends what kind of contract, whether you assigned title with a lien on it, and a few other things. I recommend you at least have an attorney review the paperwork, make sure you can take action on it, and at least tell you from the paperwork what your options are.
Your question seems to imply that you have an agreement that the buyers will pay what they are able to pay each month. Your question does not indicate that there is a due date. If that is the situation, you might have a tough case. The buyers will simply claim that they are able to pay anything, or they can only pay $1. But, you need to have an attorney review the entirety of your agreement.
