Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
Is there something I can do now that I am suffering from emotional distress because no one told me someone committed suicide in my condo before buying it .

Generally not unless you made your psychological condition a material consideration for the lease (by writing it into the lease for example) and can prove that the landlord intentionally omitted material information relating to it after being advised in writing (a doctor's note stating the condition would be some proof and the absence of anything in the lease also some proof), that you were justified in relying on not being given the information, and that you have incurred actual damages (such as professional treatments). If you're not sure of any of this, you can talk to a personal injury attorney, but I do not do such legal work. Thanks.
