Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I am suing the company I purchased a rental property from. I have a balloon loan on the property and I want to know if I can stop making the monthly payment. Also, should I open an escrow account to keep the money in until the case is settled?

You will want to have an attorney review your agreements with them before making a decision such as this. It also would be important to know the basis of your lawsuit.
