Tow Company damaged by car

I've had my car towed by the city of Chicago. It turned out that when I left the lot, that they damaged the axles underneath my car.

I wanted to seek compensation from the City of Chicago, but they contract their towing services to a private company.

The damaged totaled $800.00. I spoke to an attorney, and he said that with his costs that it wouldn't be worth my while to pursue the matter.

I'm not ready to concede. Is there something I can do apart from having legal representation?

File a small claims case against the towing company.

File a claim with your own auto insurance company.
