Hi my name is toya i was recently told i might recieve a enviction, i have four kds nd no where to go is it anything I can do? We it started out when one ofthe renter confronted me in about some old things she told me to come to her apartment so she can how me what she was talking about I went so i could settle things because I don't want any problems she was drinking and proceeded to throw a punch at me so I deffended myself then she cut me,i really need help I don't know anything about the renters law so I'm sking can you please help me

You cannot be evicted if someone assaults you. You can only be evicted for breach of the rental agreement. There is a good general pro se assistance desk located at the Daley Center that may be able to help. You can also contact Chicago Volunteer Legal Services and see if they may be able to help you.
