Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Wrong Pay Per Month

I had to make a move at the spur of the moment and moved into an Efficiency (Studio) which was for $610, somewhere along the way I forgot the pricing and starting paying $630 for about 6 months. While cruising their advertisement of apartments on the Net it was listed that the Efficiencies were for $610. I would like to know if I can get that $20 difference over the 6month period reimbursed back to me.

Re: Wrong Pay Per Month

You should be able to. What has the landlord said? He should allow you to reduce your future payments to come out even at the end. The reason for this is that rent is payable for the lease term, typically per annum, with payments divided by 12.
