Securities Regulatory Guide

I'm a young attorney with significant experience in the Commodity Futures area. I have a client with a dormant Securities IB along with its commodities business. I am looking for a good starter regulatory guide. Something in the way of a beginner guide to securities trading regulation focusing on brokerage services. I would appreciate any specific text suggestions anyone might have.
