Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Illinois
Sexual Harrassment
What can be done, if a sexual harrassment complaint was filed with the employer, but due to ''no visual'' evidence the case is being dropped. Complaints came from two people and witnesses have also been identified.

Re: Sexual Harrassment
We handle many cases like this where there is no "visual evidence." If the conduct is pervasive and you have other corroborating evidence, such as eyewitness testimony, you may have an actionable claim. You should contact me and provide your contact info upon receipt of this e-mail.
Re: Sexual Harrassment
At this point, there are several options. First, the victim can pursue the informal complaint with the employer, by urging the employer to take the complaint more seriously. Second, the victim can hire an attorney, who can informally pursue the complaint with the employer. Third, the victim can file a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Fourth, the victim can file a formal complaint in the appropriate court. I would strongly advise that before taking any of these steps, that the victim consult with an attorney.
