Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Illinois

Unfounded sexual misconduct allegations

I work for a family owned company. A wife of one of the owners also works in my office. She recently verbally attacked me with unfounded and bizarre accusations of having a sexual relationship with her husband (my boss). It came out of the blue with absolutely no basis. I still have my job (for the moment), as she has not been back in the office since the attack. I fear my days are numbered. What are my options? Up until now my job was perfect and there have been no problems.

Re: Unfounded sexual misconduct allegations

If the wife is also an employee (and presumably in a supervisory role), then you may very well have a sexual harassment claim.
