Legal Question in Social Security Law in Illinois

Im 17 turning 18 in June and I filed for social security since I've always gotten it instead of child support cause my father is on disability. Would I be able to get it even if I'm not doing that good in school?

Why do you qualify for Social Security. It ends when you turn 18.
