Back taxes
I am in negotiations with the IRS for some back taxes that I owe. If I get married is my husband obligated at all to pay any of this tax?

Re: Back taxes
Your spouse will not be obligated for your past taxes. You may also want to file married, filing separate returns so that your husband's tax refund doesn't go to pay your past taxes.
The IRS may take your husband's income into account when negotiating household income and expenses if you enter into an offer in compromise.
