I had filed my taxes through liberty tax, in February, and they had called me a few hours later to tell me that the dependents had already been claimed so I needed to come in, take them off, and re sign. I never went back to re sign but they filed my taxes any ways and charged me a fee. Couldn't that be considered fraud?

Maybe this is something you need to take up with Liberty tax. If the dependents were used by someone else, Liberty presumably filed a return for you without the dependents. If you really are entitled to the dependents, and someone else took the deduction, that would be where the fraud lies, at least in my opinion. If you're entitled to the dependents, you should attempt to claim them. Liberty should help you figure out how to do this.
