my name is Georg Brown and i need a question answered I attempted to amend a 2005 tax return and it was denied now they are trying to make me pay 5,000.00 claimimg the amended return was frivilous but it wasn't so I need to know my options in fighting this

You have the right to amend a return if there is a reason for doing so, and you have receipts or other documentation to support your changes.
I would assume from your posting that you are filing the amended return in order to lower your tax balance.
