I'm living in IL I was receiving help from the state but I didn't inform them on the totality of my savings, I bought a house to rehab and now that I'm going to file my taxes I wanted to know if I can get in trouble if I put that second house in my taxes?

Your question is poorly stated. What do you mean by "put that second house in my taxes?" If you are on some kind of welfare that is based on your income, maybe you don't have a problem until you start to receive rental income or sell the house. If you were required to spend down your assets to a certain level to qualify for assistance, you may have been ineligible for the assistance in the first place. You need to review the eligibility for the type of "help from the state" you are receiving and make a decision as to whether you should withdraw from the program.
