Sales & use tax
If a company makes signs and sells (and installs) these signs to stores that attach the signs to their buildings,
is the company that makes and installs the signs responsible for sales and use tax? (Signs = store names,
banners, signs on doorways, etc.)

Re: Sales & use tax
Assuming that you are selling the signs with names affixed, you are selling a tangible product that is subject to the tax. The fact that the sign is custom made for a particular customer does not render it a "service" as defined by the act and thus is not exempt from the sales tax.
