Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Accident Liability
A friend of mine was involved in auto accident(Illinois) while using a vehicle I own. At the time the vehicle was not insured. On the day of the accident, the registration of the vehicle had expired. Am I still legally responsible for damages incurred as a result of the accident?

Re: Accident Liability
You are not liable for the actions of others. The exception would be if you were acting in a joint venture or the driver was doing your business. You have to do something wrong that causes the accident.
