Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Auto Accident
I was in a car accident where I was pulling out of a driveway when another car and I hit each other. I did not have insurance at the time. The other driver did but the car is not his. No one was hurt and no one was written a ticket for being at fault. The only ticket that was written was to me for no insurance. Now he is sueing me. Do I have to pay for the damages to the other car if no one got a ticket for being at fault?

Re: Auto Accident
The fact that no one received a ticket does not matter, particularly in light of the fact that the officer did not witness the accident. The other party's insurance company is probably actually suing you to recover what was paid by the company to their insured.
