Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Car booted in Chicago
In August of 2007 my car was booted in the City of Chicago for unpaid parking tickets. Problem is only two of the tickets were mine. The other tickets were from two cars I have never been affiliated with. I was told by city hall that due to my co-signer's, who my vehicle is not even registered to, outstanding tickets they had every right to boot my car. He is not on my title and is not on any registration documents and never has been. Can I fight the city to get back the $800.00 I had to pay to remove the boot?

Re: Car booted in Chicago
I think so. But the real question is how much money do you wish to spend to get the $800 back. Regardless, I would like to speak with you about this in my office. Look at my "profile" and make an appointment to come in to talk.
