Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
car skid in inclement weather
My car going northbound skidded and hit another car travelling in the opposite direction. My car ended up facing southbound. Police issued citation for being onthe wrong side, but it's my car that skidded. Traffic Court date is Jan 24, '08. Please advise me if I would be charged. City did not salt and sand the road on Dec 1/07 snowfall.

Re: car skid in inclement weather
Everything you mentioned indicates you'll be found guilty. You are responsible for what happens when you are driving your car. Everything else is an excuse. Hire a lawyer.
