Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Civil Suit for an Appeal??
I was recently given one of those red light violations by a camera when I was traveling. We were cited for running a red light 2.2 seconds after the light turned. But in the video they provided, we took a right turn at a red light, and nowhere at that instersection is there a sign stating that its illegal, The letter of appeal was turned down, so now we have to file a civil suit against the city. It it worth it?? or should I just pay the fine even though I believe I didn't do anything wrong.

Appeals are highly specialized and you'll need a lawyer. That will cost thousands of dollars. Economic necessity dictates that you pay the fine. It's your case, you decide.
