Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

How are driver's license numbers generated?
I would like to know how Illinois driver's license numbers are generated. In high school math, we learned a formula which generated at least part of the driver license number from a combination of age, name, SSN, and possibly some other data, but I have forgotten it. I'm not sure whether this is traffic law, but it seemed like the closest category. Thank you.
