Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Hi i was driving a car back home that i just bought when i got pulled over... i had a bill of sale, but no insurance or plates on the particular vehicle.. however i do have liability(fully registered) on another vehicle but i did not have the card on me.. so i got a ticket for no registration(no plates or insurance) Everything was closed as it was 10 at night so i couldnt call my insurance, get the car registered etc.. will i win the case at court? thanks in advance! Before you go to court get the plates transferred and get your insurance card issued. Then you may still wind up being charged for court costs. The plates should have been transferred and you should have had at least the old insurance card on you at the time.
