Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
I'm due in court next week for driving someone else's car who did not have insurance and had suspended tags and wasn't informed. Anyway, I live in Illinois but I have a GA license and can't get an Illinois license cause I have a pending court date. My question is, if I can't pay my fine, will they allow payment arrangement even though I have an out state license but I am a resident. My fines according to the SOS is going to be like 1500 bucks plus court costs. Please help. I'm trying to find a way to come up with the money cause I don't want to be thrown in jail for failure to pay!

You will probably be put on "supervision" for a period of time. The court usually allows the payment of fines and costs during that time. Just tell the judge about your situation.
