Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Illinoi Traffic Law

I live in Kendall County, Illinois, and received a speeding ticket (81 in a 55) in Paxton, Illinois. I go to school at SIU in Carbondale, Illinois. I would like to know how many tickets a 19 year-old may receive in a year before suspension and also if I opt to take court supervison/driving class, can I contact the circuit clerk at Paxton, request a move to Jackson County, and take the class there?

Re: Illinoi Traffic Law

If you are under 21, you will lose your license if you receive two moving-violation convictions in a 24-month period. Supervision does not count as a conviction, so if you have one conviction and one supervision, you won't lose your license.

As to traffic school, I would call the circuit clerk's office in the county where you received the ticket and ask them if there is a way to take the class online. You will not be able to have the case moved to another county.
