Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
illinois extradition law
someone was pulled over as he was leaving illinois and entering indiana by an illinios officer. the IL officer called for an indiana state officer to observe. the man ended up getting arrested for driving on revoked and possestion of controlled substance along with 5 other tickets. i am told the the man should of been took to the indiana jail first and processed out to the illinois courts. Is this true or could you let me know where to find the law that would explain this to me. thanks for your time

Re: illinois extradition law
I believe that this would come under the "hot pursuit" provisions of the law. Illinois is first.
