Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
In illinois I recieved a texting while driving ticket. It was under (625 ILCS 5/12-610.2) I believe. Now there is a exception clause; the tenth saying that smartphones used as music players are excluded.
I was pulled over, my ticket was checked 'Marked' and I showed the officer that there was an AUX cable and that there was music playing.
Do I have a defense or am I misreading the whole statute.
Lake County IL.
