Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

information search

Does anyone know of a site on the web where i can look into traffic laws for Il. or even Sang. county. there are alot of things i want to look into specifically.(such as window tint,sound ordinance of engine and exhaust,Tire tread depth and width) on very important question i have is, if i build a car how do i know the designs are legal for road use. thank you.

Do a search for the Illinois Compiled Statutes. You will find a page that is an index of the ILCS. The vehicle code is in Chapter 625. Good Luck.

There is a site with all the information that you are looking for:

You will need to go through these sections of the Illinios vehicle code to determine what parts are applicable. Further, your local government (i.e. city, village etc.) might have local laws on the subjects. Just contact the local agencies on local ordinances that they might have regarding vehicles.
