Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
I was involved in a car accident, going through an intersection on a green light, man turned left into my car, of course he lied an d said he had a green arrow. He also is saying that his granddaughter's leg was broke in the accident, except I saw her on crutches at the accident. His family will not give her gaurdians name to his insurance or mine for medical records, I only have liability but would like to have the damages paid for by him, since his fault. If I can prove that he's lying about granddaughter wouldn't that discredit him about the light?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Hire a personal injury attorney. They work on contingency and consultations are free. An attorney can sue him and then he will have no choice but to turn it over to his carrier. Are you injured? Get treatment for all of your injuries immediately.
As for the defense of their injuries, report it to your carrier ASAP so they can begin the defense process. They will probably deny the claim and the man will have to sue you in order to get anything.
