Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
License and Registration
I have moved to Illinois for a new job. I don't plan on living here for very long, only while I process for another position which will be in another state. It appears that I have 30 days to change my plates, and 90 days to change my license, but I saw some reference to ''if I intend to remain here,'' on the FAQs page of the Illinois Motor Vehicles section. I believe I need to change everything over, but is there anyway to avoid the hassle (legally) since I plan on moving. I know my processing for the other position will take longer than the 30/90 days.

Re: License and Registration
There is a difference between being domiciled in a state as opposed to being a resident of a state.
