Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
I live in Illinois.I rcv'd an Illinois State Police Citation and Complaint in Livingston county for speeding 96 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. I was not going that fast...he stated clocked me at 96 MPH. What options do I have? The citation is marked court appearance required in Pontiac IL.

Hire a lawyer. You don't know how to handle a radar case because you don't know what the "state" must first prove to make its case (and that's its responsibility) because if it doesn't you can move for dismissal, and then if they have made their case you will need some logical explanation as to (a) why you were speeding, or (b) if you were speeding at all it was nothing that fast, or (c) you were not speeding and the officer mistook you for a speeding vehicle.....
Don't be penny-wise and pound foolish.
