Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Getting pulled over for invalid reason, and was given zero tolerance/dui
I was pulled over for ''change lanes without signal'' , when in fact I did nothing like this. I was driving down a small street in say a neighborhood, while I turned on my left turn signal approaching a stop sign, about 2 seconds later, while still approaching the stop sign, i turned it off, and stopped at stop sign and continued going on. So basically this stop is not valid. I did however get a zero tolerance ticket(Blood alcohol level above 0.00, any age under 21). As I blew a small 0.033. My question is, since this stop was for not breaking any laws, is everything that follows (zero tolerance) to be thrown out in court? And where can I find this particular right? Thank you!

Re: Getting pulled over for invalid reason, and was given zero tolerance/dui
You have a lot of things going. Probable cause, whether any alcohol was consumed (this goes to the validity of the blow), etc. Why don't you make an appointment with a local attorney? Your problem is a bit too involved for the internet. Good Luck!
