Probably not. Some Judges actually require a personal appearance in court on these tickets. Others may allow the case to be handled by mail. In any event you need to go through the state's attorney's office to negotiate a plea bargain that will keep the conviction from going on your record. I have handled many of these, and most attorneys will be happy to help you. I would definitely advise you to hire an attorney.
