Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Railroad Crossing
When I was going to a train station, I crossed the tracks(as a pedestrian) with the lights still blinking and all. Well then a cop came up to me saying what I did was wrong and what not. But the concequence of it was confusing; He took away my licence and I have to go to court now. First, was taking my license even ok, and what should I expect at court?

Re: Railroad Crossing
Where you arrested by a Metra officer? A local law enforcement officer? Where did this happen? I think that he should have taken you to the police station to post bond, but in his mind he probably thought that he was doing you a favor by taking your license. You have a serious problem; the fines for crossing are quite heavy. You should have a lawyer. Where do you have to go to court??
