Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
I rear-ended some one, now he is getting a lawyer
If I rear-end someone, and on the accident report it says ''no injuries'', can they come back on our court date and threaten me with medical bills?

Yes. If you had liability insurance at the time of the collision just turn this over to your insurance company and they will hire a lawyer for you. If you did not have insurance, then I would advise you to hire an attorney as soon as you can. Good luck.

If the court date you refer to is for a traffic ticket, no, they cannot recover medical bills in traffic court.
If they were to file suit however, they could claim medical injuries. They would have to prove the accident caused their injuries, and that the bills are reasonable. If they sue you tell your insurance company about the law suit. Your insurance will hire attorneys for you.
Good luck.
