Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Never received court date for appearance
I got a traffic ticket a month ago. The police officer said because of my good record, I could take traffic school and have the violation wiped off my record. I specifically asked ''is there an additional cost'' and he gave a firm no (which later proved false). I figured I'd plead guilty in court and get traffic school. When I posted bond for my license the next day, I was told the court date was the 19th of December. Apparently it was the 5th. I am extremely angry right now about this and will stop at nothing to get this rectified.

You need to file a motion to vacate. You are still eligible for supervision.

You are going to need to get this in front a judge. This might be difficult for a lay person. I would suggest that you need the assistance of an attorney.
