Your question is a little confusing. If your ticket is marked as a court appearance required, you have no choice but to appear in court or hire an attorney to appear in court for you. If your ticket is marked as no court appearance required, then you do have a choice to make. You could just pay the ticket, in which case there will be a conviction entered on your driving record which could cause your insurance rates to increase or you could request court supervision if it is available to you. If no court appearance is required, I would recommend asking for a trial date and appearing in court on that date with an attorney. Best case scenario is that the Officer does not appear and the ticket gets dismissed or if the Officer appears you may still be able to get court supervision.
