Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Speeding Citation and Complaint Notice

I got a citation and complaint notice from the Illinois State Police for speeding at 90mph in a 55 mph zone. I have been told to come to court , but the thing is that I live in Kansas City and would have problems getting there. Is there any way out or a solution to my problem? I dont know whether an attorney can represent me and if yes, is it affordable. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Speeding Citation and Complaint Notice

I am licensed in both Missouri and Illinois, and I have handled many traffic tickets in various Illinois courts. It is very important for you to be sure to take care of this ticket, since a conviction would show up on your record. If a Missouri resident fails to take care of an Illinois ticket, it is reported to the Misouri DOR, and his or her driver's license is suspended.

In any event, it may be possible to arrange a plea bargain under which yuou could avoid a conviction. Some judges allow out-of state drivers to enter into a plea bargain through an attorney without having to personally appear in court, while other judges require personal appearance expecially in cases of young drivers ticketed at high speeds. You may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822, at which time I can quote you a reasonable attorney's fee. No matter what you decide to do, good luck!
