Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Speeding ticket, cop parked in driveway
Okay, I got a speeding ticket for 50 in a 35. The cop who gave me the ticket was parked in someones driveway when he clocked me, under a tree in the yard almost, to be more specific. Are they allowed to sit on private property and set up speed traps? Is there anyway I can get out of this?

They can use private property. Frankly, when they have tried to use my parking lot for this purpose, I have told them to leave, and they do. I would counsel you to retain a lawyer. Does wonders to the outcome of these cases.
