Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Speeding ticket
I received a speeding ticket, although it is questionable that I was even speeding. However the officer did not have me sign the ticket when he issued it. Am I still liable?

Re: Speeding ticket
It does not matter whether you signed the ticket or not. I would suggest that you hire an attorney to represent you on the ticket. If you just pay the fine you will receive a conviction on your driving record, and your insurance carrier may use that as an excuse to raise your premiums. You will save the cost of the attorney and whatever you eventually must pay to the Court many times over in the long run.
