Speeding in a work zone, now I have a court date. Should I bring a lawyer to protect myself and what should I expect?

Yes, you need an attorney. Illinois state's attorneys and judges take these matters very seriousy, and the statute require substantial fines, but an attorney may be able to help you avoid a conviction.
